Between Us: Is it normal that I'm *obsessed* with my husband?

"I'm saying it here and in this form, because I know that to anyone else I sound ridiculous: I'm obsessed with my husband. In the fullest sense of the word. I'm not talking about the usual love that happens between two spouses after a few years of marriage. I'm talking about that feeling that seizes me every time I see him, like the first day.

We've been together for eight years, we have a beautiful life, a happy family, and yet... every time he walks into the room, it feels like everything stops. I don't know what it is, but there's something about the way he talks to me, the way he laughs, the way he touches me, that drives me crazy. I sometimes stop in the middle of a task just to see him, to talk to him, to kiss him. If I could, I would make love to him every hour, every day. And not because of any "sexual obsession," but simply because the feeling for him burns inside me.

I often ask myself: Am I normal? It's not every day you hear about women who say they are head over heels in love with their husbands. If he's not around, I feel empty. It seems like everything becomes heavy, I lack energy, my mood drops. 

And it's not that he's perfect, quite the opposite. He has these "things" of men: he leaves his clothes and dishes unwashed in the wrong place, sometimes he teases me with irony when I'm nervous. But still... I love him just the same. Maybe I'm even more attracted to him when he acts like an "irritator", because it reminds me that he's my man. 

I love her for the way she talks to the kids, for the way she sings in the morning while making coffee, for the way she reads my eyes even when I haven't said a word. I love her for the way she puts up with me, how she catches my attention when I'm distracted, how she makes me grow.

"It's not that I'm looking for an answer to my question, maybe I just wanted to share it with someone. But if there are other women who are so "crazy" about their husbands, then... maybe I'm more normal than I thought," wrote an anonymous woman to Anabel, for the "Among Us" column.
