In October, a rumor began circulating that Taylor Swift had bought the date of June 13, 2026, from a couple who had booked a wedding venue in Rhode Island. Page Six later reported that Taylor and Travis had paid a couple to change the date of their wedding so that they could get married at the Ocean House in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, on June 13.
But the venue's director of sales and marketing denied the report in a statement to TMZ.
We all know that Taylor Swift is obsessed with the number 13, it's her lucky number and an integral part of her life. She has previously explained:
“I was born on the 13th. I turned 13 on Friday the 13th. My first album went gold for 13 weeks. My first number one song had a 13-second intro…”
So no one was too surprised when rumors started circulating that Taylor and Travis would be getting married on June 13, 2026, but the way she was said to have secured the date was strange. A podcast reported receiving a tip from a listener who claimed that “a friend of a friend” had been forced to give up her wedding date to an undisclosed location in Rhode Island because “it was probably Taylor Swift.”

"June 13th is the only date with the 13th that falls on a Saturday and it's near Taylor's home in Rhode Island," she said.
The rumors were further fueled when Page Six reported that Taylor and Travis had booked the Ocean House for that Saturday. According to sources, another couple had the date, but Taylor was said to have "made an offer the bride couldn't refuse."
However, that's not true. Stephanie Leavitt, the area director of sales and marketing at Ocean House, completely denied the rumor, assuring TMZ that the venue "would never allow a couple to buy another couple's wedding date."
As with most details of their relationship, Taylor and Travis have kept everything about their wedding a secret, and this new information makes the situation even more intriguing.
