
Truly intelligent people use the start of each day to increase their productivity.
1. They wake up before dawn.
Intelligent people find it easy to wake up before dawn. They get out of bed with ease and have goals for the day that they want to accomplish before noon. Normal people often hate waking up early.
2. They never press the “snooze” button
Many of us decide to wake up early, but as soon as the alarm goes off, we hit snooze . Smart people know the importance of getting out of bed with the first alarm.
Constantly hitting snooze can make you more tired and disrupt your body's internal clock, leading to sleep and health problems. So resist the temptation and get out of bed immediately.
3. Drink water
Smart people know that they should hydrate their bodies first. Water in the morning benefits metabolism, reduces appetite, and keeps the body hydrated throughout the day. Don't start your morning with coffee.
4. Prioritize a healthy breakfast
Even though times can be busy, smart people know the importance of a good breakfast. If they don't have time in the morning, they prepare their food at night.
5. They don't scroll on their phones
Checking your phone as soon as you wake up is a habit. Intelligent people avoid this, especially "doomscrolling," because it causes mental fatigue and increases anxiety.
6. They exercise early.
From long runs to yoga, smart people know that morning physical activity is key.
7. They read
Reading in the morning, especially non-fiction, activates the mind and prepares it for the day. Intelligent people read 10-15 pages every morning, starting the day with an active mind, before the challenges of work become difficult.
8. Write in a journal
The 3-5 page method right after waking up to clear your mind. Intelligent people use this to start the day with a clear mind. Normal people can't imagine writing that many pages as soon as they wake up.
9. Stay out of the inbox
Smart people don't check their email as soon as they wake up because they know their day will be filled with emails. They choose time for themselves before they get involved in work.
10. Practice daily self-assessments
Talking to yourself positively may seem ridiculous to some, but intelligent people know that daily affirmations increase self-confidence, prepare for the day, and reduce stress.
11. Take a cold shower
Few things seem more daunting than getting out of a warm bed for a cold shower. But the benefits are huge: it speeds up metabolism, blood circulation, reduces symptoms of depression and anxiety, and improves energy.
