When it comes to physical attraction, men usually decide "yes" or "no" to someone within a few seconds.
But with women? You know, things are a little more complex. And it's not just about "feminine intuition" or "being attentive to detail."
A study published in the Journal of Experimental Social Psychology found that women make a two-pronged assessment when it comes to attraction: one part is physical and the other is non-physical. And the physical part? Well, here comes the surprise.
According to this study, the first thing most women notice on a man's face are:
the lips , jawline , and cheekbones !
So, if he has a pronounced jawline and slightly fuller lips, chances are he'll catch a woman's eye sooner than you'd imagine.
In the original experiment, 50 heterosexual women saw photos of men and women and were asked, "Would you go on a date with this person?"
After analyzing the results, the researchers "broken" the photos - by splitting them in half and moving the pieces - to see if symmetry had an impact.
The result? For the "dating" part, the separate faces didn't make much of a difference—women continued to feel drawn to strong jawline structure, long eyelashes, or voluminous lips.
So, the next time you're thinking, "What attracted me to this guy?", try taking another look at... his jawline. It might be more influential than you think.
