Israel aims to control 75% of Gaza within two months
The Israel Defense Forces have announced through local media that they plan to take control of about 75% of the Gaza Strip within the next two months.
This claim comes at a time when Israeli attacks on Gaza are increasing, with the aim of exerting pressure on Hamas to release the Israeli hostages still held captive.
As part of this expanded military operation, Israel announced that it would launch a new mechanism for distributing humanitarian aid, relocate the Palestinian population to three small areas within Gaza, and then occupy ¾ of the territory.
Presidential elections in Poland: Close race between two candidates
The second round of the presidential election in Poland is expected to have a very close result, putting the two candidates "head to head".
The Civic Coalition candidate, Rafal Trzaskowski, and the candidate supported by the Law and Justice party (PiS), Karol Nawrocki, declared that their victory would be a victory for all of Poland.
On Sunday, tens of thousands of citizens from across Poland took part in patriotic marches in Warsaw, supporting their preferred candidate.
Trump criticizes Putin for attacks in Ukraine
US President Donald Trump expressed concern over Russia's recent attacks on Ukraine, saying he is "not happy with what Putin is doing."
"He's killing a lot of people. I don't know what the hell happened to him," Trump told reporters. "I've known him for a long time. We've always had a good relationship. But now he's launching missiles into cities and killing people. I don't like it at all," Trump added.
Moscow launched a series of drone and missile attacks on Ukrainian cities and villages, including the capital Kiev, killing at least 12 people and wounding dozens more.
Russia and Ukraine complete largest prisoner exchange since war began
On Sunday, Russia and Ukraine completed the exchange of 1,000 prisoners from each side, with the handover of the last 303 captives.
The three-day exchange, which began on Friday, is the largest since the war began three years ago.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the completion of the exchange in a post on the X network, writing: "303 Ukrainian soldiers have returned home."
The agreement for the exchange was reached in Istanbul earlier this month, during the first "face-to-face" talks between the two sides since the start of the conflict.
