King Charles has issued a major statement regarding his brother, the former Prince Andrew. Amid news that Thames Valley Police are investigating a complaint that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor allegedly shared confidential information related to his role as a sales representative with Jeffrey Epstein, Buckingham Palace has issued a statement saying it is willing to cooperate with the authorities.

This statement also addresses the "behavior" of the King's brother for the first time since Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, were mentioned several times in the latest Epstein files released by the Department of Justice.
"The King has made clear, in words and through unprecedented action, his concern at the allegations that continue to emerge regarding the actions of Mr Mountbatten-Windsor," the statement released by the palace said.

The statement further states that, as far as the accusations and claims against the former prince are concerned, it is he who must provide an answer. Meanwhile, the royal family has expressed its readiness to offer all necessary support.
"As has been said before, the thoughts and support of the Royal Family have been and remain with victims of any form of abuse," the statement concludes.

In October last year, King Charles stripped his brother, Andrew, of the royal titles “Duke of York” and “Prince.” According to a statement released at the time, these measures were deemed necessary, despite the fact that the former Prince denied the allegations.
The move comes after criticism of the former Prince Andrew's links to Epstein, who died in prison in 2019 while awaiting trial. The Buckingham Palace statement came just hours after Kate Middleton and Prince William expressed their support for Epstein's victims.

Andrew stepped back from his public royal role in 2019 after a controversial BBC interview in which he spoke about his relationship with Epstein. Queen Elizabeth stripped her son of his military and royal titles a few years later after a judge rejected his bid to have a sexual assault lawsuit filed by Epstein's victim, Virginia Giuffre, dismissed. Andrew has consistently denied her allegations, and the two reached a settlement in 2022.
