Not every forgetfulness is a lack of respect: The Dalina - Loredana case and the

In a spontaneous conversation during the show "The Dalina Show", Dalina Buzi, speaking with guests Aulona Musta and Fatma Haxhialiu, faced a moment that happens to all of us: she couldn't remember someone's name. More precisely, Loredana Brati, former resident of "Big Brother VIP 4". Instead of thinking long, Dalina reacted in her own, often impulsive way, and said:

"What's Jozi's name?"

That was enough for the comments to start online and Loredana to react on Instagram Story:

"All together: Loredana Brati, Loredana Brati. What I also remember, when a few weeks ago you were doing articles with the name Loredana Brati. And there wasn't one, there were more than one. The only thing I can tell you is that it's not the right way."

Not every forgetfulness is a lack of respect: The Dalina - Loredana case and the

Note: Dalina Buzi is not a journalist who writes Anabel's articles and does not interfere in the editorial line of the editorial office. She is the founder and publisher of the platform, but is not part of the daily selection of editorial content.

After Loredana's reaction, Dalina initially published a short response yesterday explaining that her sentence had not been malicious. But the next day, with a clearer mind, she reacted again. And this time, not only about Loredana, but above all about a broader phenomenon that has to do with the relationship that the younger generation has with the "name" in public.

In a personal account, Dalina shared an episode from 2008, when Vera Grabocka – an Albanian media icon – asked her to work as a screenwriter on “With Much Love,” a successful program at the time:

"In 2008, when I was 30 years old, I had been at Top Channel, I got my master's degree in London, so I had done a lot of things. My phone rang around 5 pm, I'll never forget it. It was Vera Grabocka, whom I had adored since I was 5 years old, one of the people I followed the most in my youth and adolescence in Albania. And so, she proposed to me to work on 'With Much Love' where I would be the screenwriter. When the first episode came out, she said to me: 'Dalina, your name is in the credits at the beginning, see if you like it?' And I said 'Why are you telling me this like that?' Because I had also done things at Top Channel, screenwriter at 'Star Academy', editor-in-chief of 'Trendy' magazine. But she made sure to tell me that my name was at the top, among the main names of the program."

"Dalina, work for your name, then your name will work for you," she recalled her father's words.

At that time, having your name mentioned in the credits was a sign of appreciation and respect, but not an automatic right. It was a kind of certification that came after contribution, after time, after dedication.

"Regardless of how much experience I had, what I had done and how much I had worked on those things – I hadn't entered a reality show, but I had done projects like documentaries, exclusives – and despite these things, to say Vera, for whom I had great respect and had grown up with, it was my childhood and I had seen the revolution that she brought, it was definitely a big thing and I said 'thank you' to her."

Reflecting on the situation with Loredana, Dalina added:

"The name issue in the media has been very sacred to us, now it is not. Loredana has every right to react, because she definitely has a name that is sacred and definitely does not belong to Jozi and anyone else. I said that like a mother who wants to make a connection with something and does not remember; I remember Loredana with Jozi and Jozi is not that he has more value than Loredana, but his name has been fixed in the brain more for certain reasons, not for any great contribution."

And further:

"What is worrying now is the attack on me, Aulona or Fatma, who have been in the market for 20 years and have undoubtedly raised our own name, with our own work, even by failing in public, even by speaking out a little more, even by raising awareness among 5 people and upsetting 5 others, how we don't know the name of a girl who has been in the market for 1 year and whose contribution is negligible."

"In 2008, I'm thinking if I were a reality star, I could have said 'how is Vera telling me that she put my name in the credits, how is she telling me this with so much experience?' It would have been scandalous. First from my parents, who would have said to me 'what are you doing? Be respectful. There is a hierarchy of work, experience.'"

She also spoke about the first reaction she had posted:

"The letter I posted yesterday – that ChatGPT did to me – was the truth, so I just didn't think about it. Today I thought that letter is not worth it, because I have an obligation to the people who follow me. We need to understand that it is not good to attack me or Aulona or Fatma for forgetting the name of a girl who has been on the market for 1 year."

The message was simple: people who have worked long hours, who have held many responsibilities, and who have gone through many stages, may not always have perfect memories. But that does not mean disrespect.

"I absolutely didn't like that I said 'Jozi's', because I don't like to associate it with anyone. It happens, you forget and you unintentionally associate it with something and I associated you with that person because I saw you on Big Brother with that person. He doesn't have more value than you. If I forget his name, no problem. You will have your name in the credits, in my book, too."

This was probably a gentle lesson for all those who love the "name in the subtitles" without understanding how much work goes into those letters.

Because in the Albanian market, almost everyone wants their name to be mentioned, remembered, and gain the status of a public figure as soon as possible. But not every name is immediately sacred – and it shouldn’t be. Every name is earned, built, and becomes important with time, with work, and with content.

- Written by Sindi Salaj, editor-in-chief of Anabel for 7 years, who rarely puts her name in articles, not because she doesn't want to, but because she hasn't yet decided what to call the final version of herself: "the one obsessed with the Albanian language" or "the one who never appears on video."
