Johnny Depp signed a petition on Friday to dismiss a request made by his ex-wife, Amber Heard - who seeks to take over Harvey Weinstein's company to find out details of the latter's relationship with Johnny Depp.
Heard's request is intended to elicit further details after Depp indicted him for a total of $ 50 million for defamation. According to Depp, Heard's allegations that he raped her were untrue.
Amber Heard's request requires a large number of documents, including communications between Depp and Harvey Weinstein. She seeks to document the acts of violence perpetrated during the launch and promotion of Libertine, a film produced by the Weinstein Company starring Johnny Depp.
In early February, Johnny Depp and his lawyers argued that they believe that a recently released census proves that his ex-wife was in fact rapist and not raped. The audio shows Depp and Heard arguing. The debate takes on physical dimensions. Heard admits, according to the transcript, that a physical has started. Afterwards, Depp tells her that she punched him.
It is still unclear how the situation will go now, with Harvey Weinstein, the abuser and rapist of dozens of women in Hollywood, also involved.
