One of the most famous models in the world, Kate Moss has rarely spoken during an interview about her career and the dark days in the catwalk world.
Moss - who told T magazine in 2010 that she "hated talking to the media" and that when she was younger she "got sick every time I worried about something" - spoke openly on the BBC's Desert Island Discs podcast about the experience painful" within that industry.
"There have been times when they took advantage of my sensitivity. I was young and innocent," Kate says, adding that occasionally, photographers forced her to show more skin than she was comfortable with - including and go out topless.
As a representative of the infamous 'heroin chic' trend of the 90s, Moss said she has often been unfairly accused.
"I've never been anorexic, I've never taken heroin in my life. I've always been thin because I didn't eat on photo shoots or fashion shows. I've always been that way. I apologize to all the people I've let down by my behavior behaviors that have adversely affected my family, society, colleagues or collaborations I have had. I take full responsibility for my actions. I also have to admit that I have some personal issues that I have identified and no matter how it's difficult, I've started to take some small steps to solve them," she continued.
During the interview, Moss also touched on her role in the famous trial of Johnny Depp, where she said that she "must definitely tell the truth" and that Johnny "never pushed her down those stairs".
