Shakira does not stop talking about her experiences after Gerard Piqué's betrayal with Clara Chia Marti and recently, in an interview, she said that "she must be stronger than a lion", accepting pain and weak points.
"I feel fulfilled, because I feel like I can rely on myself and the children can rely on me. I must be stronger than a lion. This strength must be real, not a facade, it must be the result of great pain. Accepting such pain and tolerating frustration, because things in life don't always go the way we want them to," said Shakira, referring to the much-talked-about breakup with ex-partner Gerard Piqué.
"One way or another, I managed to teach him in another perspective that I will be fine on my own. When a woman faces challenges in life, she becomes stronger. When she becomes stronger, she learns to recognize her weaknesses and accept her sensitive side," said Shakira.
She and former footballer Piqué split in June 2022, after 11 years together. They met on the set of the song "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)" and have two children together, Milan (10 years old) and Sasha (8 years old). The pair broke up after Piqué cheated on Shakira with 23-year-old Clara Chia Marti, and the singer revealed the infidelity through a jam jar .
Since the breakup, Shakira has dedicated several songs to the ex-footballer and his new girlfriend, breaking the myth that Aquarians forget their first and last names when they break up.
