The star Selena Gomez has one more reason to feel proud of herself and all the achievements in her career.
Gomez has finally earned her first acting nomination at the Emmy Awards. The nominations for the 2024 Emmy Awards were announced yesterday, with Selena nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.
But, Gomez is also known for her commitment as a producer, while at the Emmy awards ceremony that will be organized this year in September, she will be opposite Quinta Brunso with the series "Abbott Elementary", Jean Smart of "Hacks", Maya Rudolph in "Loot" and Kristen Wiig in "Palm Royale".
The nomination of the singer/actress is the fourth for a Latin singer in a category such as comedy genre series, this after Rita Morena in 1985, the two nominations for "Ugly Betty" starring America Ferrera in 2007 and 2008 and last year was actress Jenna Ortega.
While Gomez's admirers are busy expressing their virtual support on social media through various comments and posts, Selena is officially the most nominated Latina producer in comedy series, with three productions under her name.
According to "Variety", the star of Mexican origin comes ahead of Cuban producer Marlis Pujol and Salma Hayek, who was honored for her production "Ugly Betty".
