Zayn Malik seems to be on the same page as many fans online. During his Las Vegas concert, the former One Direction member thanked the audience for choosing to spend the evening with him. At the same time, he seemed to make an indirect comment on the recent debate over the high ticket prices for Harry Styles' upcoming concerts.
"I want to sincerely thank each and every one of you for being here tonight. You could have been anywhere else, but you chose to spend the evening with me," Zayn said.
Then he added jokingly:
"I hope the tickets weren't too expensive."

"A big, big thank you to each and every one of you for being here with me tonight. You could've been anywhere, but you decided to spend your night with me. Hopefully the ticket prices weren't too high, just saying." pic.twitter.com/Ym5iylzJhx
Zayn Malik's comment was immediately interpreted by fans as a jab at Harry Styles, as it came just a few days after the start of ticket sales for his concerts and at a time when social media was filled with complaints about the very high prices.

Zayn and Harry, both former members of One Direction, have not maintained a close relationship for years following Zayn's departure from the group in 2015, so the comment was seen as intentional, even though Harry's name was not directly mentioned.
The pair have not had any public conflicts, but the early distancing between them has long fueled speculation about a cold relationship, which makes Zayn's reaction sound more like irony than coincidence.

His comments come after tickets for Harry Styles' concerts went on sale on Jan. 26. Fans immediately reacted on social media, complaining about the prices, which reportedly ranged from $50 to more than $1,180, including additional ticket sales fees. The company selling the tickets said the prices had not been increased based on demand.

On social media, many fans expressed their displeasure. “Together, together (which is the title of his tour), but only if you have a lot of money,” wrote one. Another said that such prices make music inaccessible to many people who cannot afford to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on a single ticket.
Harry Styles has not yet publicly responded to the criticism nor has he announced any price changes for his upcoming concerts.
