If you thought the Ferragnez soap opera was over, wait a minute, because Fedez has told the whole story in his new autobiography, with a title that is as philosophical as it is dramatic: "L'acqua è più profonda di come sembra da sopra" (in Albanian, "Water is deeper than it seems from above").
And he talks about everything: from love with Chiara Ferragni, to emotional betrayals, cancer, Sanremo and, of course, Pandoro-gate.
"We were two different worlds that could not coexist"
In the opening pages, Fedez admits that his relationship with Chiara had much beauty, but also many silent clashes that, over time, created a deep rift:
"We were two different worlds destined to drift apart. The differences between us rose to the surface like icebergs waiting to sink the ship," he writes.
Part of these clashes was also the world of fashion and the famous and powerful characters that came with it:
“I passively accepted that reality, the fashion architects in Milan, the people of the 'future,' but to me, everything within it had a rotten smell.”
"I couldn't stand dinners, I just stayed on my cell phone"
It is not difficult to understand that Fedez was not happy in his social life during his marriage. He describes feeling like a stranger in a reality that did not feel like his own:
"At those dinners, I was just physically present. I didn't look people in the eye. I was bored, they seemed useless, full of self-thoughts for no reason. Seven years of fashion gossip? Enough."
Angelica? The story of the "parallel universe"
In the book, Fedez talks about another name that was widely discussed after the breakup: Angelica Montini. He explains that he had known Angelica before he married Chiara and that their relationship was real, but different:
"It was a strong feeling, the kind that grabs you in the chest and makes you bleed... But no, it's not true that I called him five minutes before the wedding."
For both women in his life, he makes a distinction:
"With Chiara, life was like a Mulino Bianco commercial, perfect, packaged, with lights. But with Angelica there was no stage, no spectacle. The feeling for Chiara was real. The feeling for Angelica was different. With Chiara I wanted to build. With Angelica I wanted to dream."
Despite everything, Fedez dedicates some heartfelt words to his ex-wife:
"With Chiara I have shared my greatest fears. She has been my right arm. She has listened to me when everything seemed hopeless. She has made me not feel alone."
And although their story has ended, his desire to remain a good parent is stronger than anything:
"I wish you a bright and happy future, especially for our children because they deserve to grow up in a healthy environment."
