The BALFIN Group's tradition of bringing employees together through sports continues. For the twelfth consecutive year, the BALFIN National Volleyball Championship was held, with 10 participating teams in total, representing the Group's companies.
This event, marked in the calendar of the BALFIN Group, concluded with a strong final, from which the ACREM team was declared the winner. The trophy was presented by the Executive Director of the BALFIN Group, Edlira Muka, who, among other things, praised the championship as the event that best conveys the collaborative spirit of the employees and companies of the group.
From the beginning of May until June 23, 10 teams from the BALFIN Group companies competed with each other for the championship title, from which the BALFIN shpk team and ACREM emerged as the finalist teams, to play the championship match at the "Feti Borova" Olympic Hall in Tirana.
The final match was accompanied by a high atmosphere and enthusiasm, fueled by the support of other Group employees, who came especially to the hall to support their colleagues.
Under fully professional rules, four sets were played, to conclude the entire championship with the announcement of the winner, which was the ACREM company team, with a score of 1-3.
After the finalists' match Balfin shpk - ACREM, the Executive Director of the BALFIN Group, Edlira Muka, gave a welcoming speech, while praising the championship as a manifestation of BALFIN's strongest values, highlighting among them the cooperative spirit that employees have with each other.
"It is precisely this spirit of cooperation that has enabled us to build teams of professionals within the companies, synergy between the latter, and to grow at a rapid pace, making each of our companies a leader in the markets where it operates," emphasized Edlira Muka.
The Group's Executive Director also focused on the increase in the size of the championship and plans for the future.
"Next year, the BALFIN National Volleyball Championship will have three new participating teams, Kiabi, Flying Tiger and Green Coast Hotel. This proves that the championship is growing together with the BALFIN Group, both in size and energy," she said.
These new teams of players are expected to be created from the work teams that will be formed thanks to BALFIN's latest strategic partnerships with the well-known global brands Kiabi and Flying Tiger Copenhagen, as well as with Accor Group, one of the largest networks in hospitality and tourism, with which BALFIN has brought the luxury Green Coast Hotel – MGallery Collection to southern Albania.
The captain of the winning team, Gazmor Guri, said about the trophy he won that "the fact that we have been champions for four years in a row makes it even more exciting, both for the team, for the team members, but also for me as captain."
While judge Artan Pogoni considered the championship a "fantastic find" by the BALFIN Group.
"It is actually a recreational activity with two-way benefits, both for the work process and for entertainment and sport. We all know that sport aims at socialization, adrenaline release, competition, cooperation and discipline... I think that the BALFIN Group, with the National Volleyball Championship, has made fantastic discoveries in this regard", - said Artan Pogoni.
The conclusion of the BALFIN National Volleyball Championship paves the way for another similar event, which is even larger. In November, the BALFIN International Volleyball Championship is held, where companies operating within the country, as well as companies operating in the region, participate.
