Prince William had shared the mind that Kate Middleton would be his princess and as he proposed it he forgot a very important detail: the thought of Kate's father!
William proposed to the couple during a very romantic trip to Kenya, just when Kate was not expecting him at all.
"He was a total shock when it happened. There was a lot of romance inside," Kate told People.
What William "forgot" to do before the big question was to get Kate's father's approval, and just the idea that he had done something "reckless" made him feel bad.
"I forgot to ask Kate's father at first and just the idea that he could say no or reject my proposal terrified me. Then I thought to myself that if I ask Kate, he can not say no." expresses Prince William.
The small break of tradition resulted in success, as the duo continues to represent the royal model couple even after so many years together!
