During a recent interview on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," Olivia recalled the moment she was at Border Control in Canada and an officer asked her to get out of the car.
She said: "I give them the passport and they tell me, well, there is no problem. Then they knock on the door and say, we need Olivia. And I think, I gave some concerts. Maybe their daughter wants an autograph. I go out, it was 3:00 in the morning and I was tired, they took me to a room and it was an interrogation room. There was a big policeman with a gun and he said, 'Have you ever been arrested?' I replied: 'No, I have not been arrested.' He said to me: 'Are you sure?' I began to doubt myself. I thought I was not arrested and I didn't know!"
She added, "He said, 'You could end up in jail if you lie to an officer.' That was too bad. I started to panic. I thought they wouldn't let me go back to America. I was so scared, I had a panic attack. After 30 minutes of interrogation, he asked me: 'What is your name?' I answered, 'Olivia Rodrigo, RODRIGO.' And he said to me, 'Oh, there's a girl who looks like you, she's your age, she's been arrested a few times. And her name is Olivia Rodriguez.'”
