Grooming: is a manipulative behavior where someone – often an adult – gradually builds a relationship of trust with another person, usually a minor, to achieve harmful sexual, financial, or emotional goals.

The overwhelming responses came from women who were manipulated and abused in childhood and adolescence, who only years later realized the exploitation they had been subjected to by much older boys and men, the consequences of which still haunt them today.
