Dear,
There are days when I feel the urge to write to you, not because our communication is lacking, but because there are feelings that cannot be learned in everyday conversations. There are words that take time, that require silence, and I want this letter to be one of those slow moments, where I write to you with my heart and you read me with your soul.
Sometimes I think about the first time I saw you, I don't know if it was your eyes or the way you gave me a sense of security that I had never felt before. From that moment on, something inside me told me that you would be the person who would make me feel at home, wherever we were.
And I was not wrong.
In you I found everything I had been looking for without knowing what I was looking for: calmness, understanding, strength, patience. You taught me that true love is not noisy, it does not scream, it does not demand attention, but stands there, unwavering, every morning when you wake up next to me, every evening when you ask me “are you okay?”, in every detail that makes our daily lives beautiful.
I love the way you look at me, the way you listen to me even when I speak my thoughts, the way you know how to calm me down without saying anything. There's something in your love that makes me believe that life can be gentler, better. You're the person who taught me not to be afraid of the future, because I know we'll face it together.
There are moments when I think about everything we've been through, the joys, the trials, the anticipation, the laughter, the hard days. And I realize that every little step we've taken has had meaning. You're not just my fiancé; you're my best friend, you're the person who knows me to the end, you're the one who's seen me at my best and my most tired, and you've loved me just the same.
I don't want to call this letter "romantic," because our love is much more than romance. It is construction. It is commitment. It is a choice every day. It is the desire to see the other grow, to shine, to be well. And I choose you, every day, with the deepest conviction that a person can have.
When I think about the future, it doesn't take me long to imagine it: a house with light, with peace, with the smell of coffee in the morning, and with you hugging me like you always do, without many words, but with the whole world in that embrace.
Thank you for being the person who makes me believe in true love, who doesn't let me give up, who reminds me that love is more than a feeling, it's support, respect, and a journey together.
I love you with all that I am, with all my flaws and my light. And every day that passes, it seems like I love you a little more than yesterday.
Yours, always.
PS: Anabel, I just love writing profusely, and that's why I send you letters like this.
Thank you.
