An unexpected duo: Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau were spotted dining together in Montreal, just a few weeks after the singer's split from actor Orlando Bloom was confirmed.
According to sources for People, Katy (40) and Justin (53) dined at Le Violon restaurant in Montreal's Le Plateau neighborhood on July 28. The two were seen greeting the chef and then visited the kitchen staff to personally thank them.
Neither Katy nor Trudeau have publicly commented on their relationship, but the fact that they were seen together at an intimate dinner certainly made the rounds on social media as speculation about a possible romance flooded in.
Meanwhile, just earlier this month, representatives for Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom confirmed their split after months of rumors of a crisis between them. The statement to Page Six read:
"Due to the high public interest surrounding their relationship, representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy are transitioning their relationship to focus on co-parenting."
