A serious incident was recently recorded in Washington, where three sisters were found without signs of life, and are suspected of being murdered by their father.
The three younger sisters had divorced parents, and what was supposed to be a routine meeting with their father turned into tragedy.
Paityn Decker (9 years old), Evelyn Decker (8 years old) and Olivia Decker (5 years old) were found dead on Monday, June 2, after authorities located their father's car near a campground.
Police did not provide details about the circumstances of the serious incident, or the exact location of the vehicle.
However, they stressed that their father, Travis Decker, 32, was not at the scene and is currently on the run.
According to authorities, he is wanted on three counts of first-degree murder and one count of kidnapping.
“It is unknown if Decker is currently armed, but he could pose a serious threat if approached,” police said, adding that he has prior military experience.
What was found at the scene?
The girls' father's vehicle was found at the scene, while the girls' bodies were found next to the car.
The girls are suspected of having died from asphyxiation. Full autopsy details have not been released, but police have confirmed that it is a case of murder.
Authorities also found traces of blood, bloody clothes, and the girls' personal belongings.
Travis Decker picked up the girls on Friday, May 30, as agreed with their mother, but the girls did not return at the time the two ex-partners had agreed to. As a result, a warrant was issued for his arrest for violation of parental custody.
Police had previously reported that Decker was homeless and usually lived in his car, motels or campgrounds in the area.
After an investigation was launched due to a violation of the parental agreement, the police located his vehicle and what they found was horrifying.
Since that day, there has been no trace of the victims' father, while authorities are asking for the public's help in apprehending him.
