Mathew McConaughey says he was sexually abused as a teenager, writing about his experience in the book Greenlights.
"I was blackmailed into having sex for the first time when I was 15," McConaughey wrote, according to Page Six. "I was sure I would go to hell for premarital sex."
The actor also states that he was "sexually harassed by a man when he was 19 years old and found himself unconscious at the end of a van".
McCounaghey did not elaborate on the details, but said he "never felt like a victim."
"I have a lot of evidence that the world is plotting to make me happy."
In the book, which was published on Tuesday, October 20, McConaughey goes through numerous important events in his life, which he describes as red, yellow or green lights - events that made him stop, wait or to progress.
Other revelations from the book include the fact that the actor once turned down a $ 14.5 million salary for a rom-com in order to focus on more serious roles, starting with a "McConaissance" that gave him an Oscar for Dallas Buyers Club.
Another piece of information, which the actor tells in his book, is that his father died while having sex with his wife (Mathew's mother).
He described his parents' relationship as "the Pacific Ocean in a storm" and said the loss of his father "cut off his knees".
McConaughey recalls:
"He always said to me and my brothers, 'Guys, when I leave this world, I will be making love to your mother,' and that is what happened. "He had a heart attack when he reached menopause."
