The day after the US declared a national emergency because of fears of the Metropolitan Opera coronavirus (opera house in Broadway, New York), it found another way for opera admirers not to miss performances while staying home.
Starting on Monday (March 16), The Met will air free live "Live in HD" shows every night that will run throughout the quarantine period, and so far the March 31 deadline.
If on a typical day, tickets to watch live shows range from $ 25 to $ 100, during this time people will be able to see them without a penny while staying home.
The celebrity performances will kick off every night at 7:30 pm and will be streamed online on the company's official website so people can follow them.
So far, the Metropolitan Opera has a list of shows that will air online for at least 1 week.
