Laert Vasili was recently invited to the "ABC of the Morning" show on ABC News and commented, among other things, on his exclusion from "Për'puthen".
"I have the impression that the problem was the male-female kiss. That two women kissed on the show. Two other women kissed too, but they didn't care. The problem was that I shouldn't have kissed anyone," Laertes said ironically at first.
Asked by Enkel Demi, one of the show's moderators, why he kissed the contestant, Laerti did not seem to feel any remorse, although after the kiss he apologized to the "Për'puthen" contestant:
"That's how it came to me, brother. Did I do something wrong? I put my hand there, nothing, order me. Then they laughed, there was applause."
Laerti further clarified that the kiss was "theatrical" and that "the girl's honor was not lost on a show." He did not spare irony either towards the production and Megi Pojani, the moderator, calling her "comrade Lenka" and comparing the decision to expel her from "Për'puthen" to dictatorial actions during communism.
"The committee made a decision. Comrade Lenka came out there and gave a speech. Forget comrade Lenka, she kissed comrade Tefta a while ago... come on, it's okay. Let's do whatever we want, okay," said Laerti, recalling that Megi and Aulona Musta also exchanged a kiss on the lips a short time ago on the show.
In the end, Laerti stated that Megi Pojani's speech after his expulsion from the program had made him look "like trash," as it implied that he was an anti-value for the program.
"After the girl accepted Laertes' apology, comrade Lenka said 'we distance ourselves, we promote values' so I was an anti-value and I felt like trash. I left the Committee, I was expelled from the Party," he concluded ironically.
