Brikena's sensational statement on "Big Brother VIP Albania" has recently made the rounds on the internet and has been massively criticized by people in comments and public figures, including Aulona Musta:

However, in such cases, people do not forgive, and it didn't take long for the internet to remind Aulona of a similar statement she made 5 years ago in an interview for the "Glamour Zone" show on RTV Ora.
Asked by moderator Ester Bylyku ??how she would react if her partner slapped her, Aulona said at the time that although such an action "would come as a shock", she did not see it as a reason to break up; instead, she would communicate with her partner about the reason for such "alienation".
However, in the video that has recently circulated, only the part where Aulona briefly responds that she does not see the slap as a reason to break up has been cut, making many people perceive her statement as the same as Brikena's, thus calling her "false" and "hypocritical" for "the moral she did to Brikena."
To this, Aulona posted a video with her reaction, explaining that that part of the interview was taken out of context due to the cuts that were made. Therefore, she said that she still stands by her opinion from 5 years ago, for which - to be fair - she had the same reasoning:
"I made an edit of this video of my interview that was cut, it wasn't complete and many parts that give it meaning were removed. [...] Yes, I wouldn't have broken up over a slap, which I say even now, in the 16 years we've been together, despite the fact that it's something that doesn't cross my mind because a slap is not part of the marriage and the relationship that my husband and I have.
"If it happened, if it fell like a bomb from the sky, I wouldn't go to court the next day to ask for a divorce, but I would try very hard to understand, I would talk about why this happened. How did this person become alienated, which again, I say that people give signs. You understand when the other person is violent, you understand when communication ends."
In the end, Aulona explained that her "problem" with Brikena's statement lies in the "glorification of the suffering of the Albanian woman", who "stays with her husband even after a slap for the sake of the children", and not simply in the fact that she would not leave her partner for "a slap".
And as she said herself, this was clear from her first story , but many people only hear the part they want to hear.
