Jacob Elordi's new film, Frankenstein , appears to have been a real success at its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival, receiving one of the longest standing ovations ever, around 13-14 minutes of enthusiasm from the audience. The Australian actor even got emotional after the screening of the horror film made by renowned director Guillermo del Toro.
However, the moments after the show were not without tension.
In a video posted to TikTok on August 31, Elordi is seen greeting fans outside the screening room when he gets into an argument with a festival staff member. In the footage shared, the actor is heard telling the employee:
"I'm going to take a picture here. Don't tell me what to do."
According to the TikToker who shared the video, Elordi was "very polite" during the event and took photos with as many fans as he could. But comments from followers were divided.
Some fans expressed disappointment with the actor's behavior:
“This was really inappropriate of Elord,” one commenter wrote.
“Poor guy, he was just doing his job,” another noted.
"He's there for your safety," a third commenter added.
Despite the awkward moment, Elordi shined on the red carpet in a classic black suit and a stylish bow tie. He continues to solidify his position as one of Hollywood's most promising names, even though fame comes with its challenges, both on and off the screen.
