On the season 7 premiere of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," Kim Kardashian didn't hold back. She opened up about her relationship with ex-husband Kanye West and the challenges she went through after the split.
"Ever since we divorced, I always felt bad for him, I protected him and wanted to help him," Kim said, revealing that during their 7-year marriage she often felt what she describes as a kind of Stockholm Syndrome.
Kim and Kanye married in 2014 and have four children: North, 12, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6.
In a candid conversation, she revealed that after the divorce, she was again stressed and her skin problems returned.
"I have to constantly protect what I have to protect. My children are my top priority," she said.
Kim explained that when she sees erratic behavior from Kanye, her mind goes to the children:
"Others can handle it, but I have to protect my little ones."
She added that it's not true that she can just walk away and stop dealing with Kanye.
"This is not my reality. We have four children together. It's very complicated... It's a divorce, not an abduction."
Kim is no longer hiding her emotions. "It's so sad," she said of the current situation with Kanye.
