It seems that the famous actress is often confused by fans with another actress, almost of the same caliber! In an "Access Hollywood" interview, the star of "Mare of Easttown" said that people have confused him with Cate Blanchett.
Kate Winslet said that "messing with Cate Blanchett is a huge compliment" and she doesn't take it too lightly as a mess.
"Oh, Elizabeth, I've adored you in every one of your movies," Kate says of the time people have confused her with Cate and her starring role in the latter's film of the same name. Kate says she thanked fans despite the mix-up. "So it just happens," adds actress Winslet.
Actress Cate is Australian, while Kate is English, and both recently discussed the confusion people make of them. In "The Graham Norton Show", they both said that they have faced these confusions, but they have taken every situation with laughter and without any reservations.
This isn't the first time Hollowood celebrities have been confused by people. During an interview in 2019, Brad Pitt said he was often mistaken for Matt Damon.
"I've actually signed a lot of autographs as Matt," Brad told BBC Radio 1. "They'll realize that later, but it's not my fault," Pitt said.
