Jennifer Aniston has spoken out about her reluctance to adopt a child, despite her struggles with infertility. She appeared on an episode of “Armchair Expert” on the Wondery+ platform and said that she no longer thinks about pregnancy.
Jennifer has previously spoken about her challenges, including in vitro fertilization (IVF) and the topic of adoption. She was asked by moderator Monica Padman, Jen said:
"It's so peaceful (in my mind). But, I mean, there comes a point when everything is out of my control and I can't do anything about it. When people say to me, 'but you can adopt.' I don't want to adopt. I want my DNA in that little human. Whether it's selfish or not, either way, that's what I wanted."
Although Jen added that this is something she really doesn't want to talk about, she admitted that there have been times when she's met someone and thought they'd have a cute baby, but stressed that "that feeling goes away in 3 seconds."
The "Friends" star stressed that it wasn't just written, but still, it gets emotional, especially when you hear "that's it," because something strange happens when you hear that phrase.
In a 2022 interview with Allure, Jen said that she has "no regrets" about the way things have turned out after her fertility journey "a few years ago."
"Here I am today. The ship is sailing," Jen said, implying that life has taken this course.
"I actually feel kind of relieved now, because there's no more 'Can I? Maybe. Maybe. Maybe.' I don't have to think about it anymore," she concluded.
