Finally, good news that comes as a result of coronavirus in our country. The total isolation of the people and the prohibition of the movement has reduced the number of crimes in our country significantly. Last week, referring to the data in Tirana, only 7 criminal acts were registered!
Under normal circumstances, the Ministry of Justice reports that there are only about 40 crimes per week in the capital.
Considering the high number of crimes, violence or abuses of all kinds in Albania, this is the best news we could receive on a daily basis like these. This week, only 2 people have been arrested for domestic violence, another for unlawful possession of weapons, 2 others for narcotics trafficking and the last for opposing police forces.
The total isolation of the country, people staying at home and stopping traffic has made criminal activity suffer significant reductions, but while arrests have fallen, fines continue!
In the last 24 hours alone, 85 pedestrians have been fined for moving during restriction hours, 109 drivers have been stripped of their licenses and 15 business administrators have been fined for opening premises in violation of the order.
