Seif al-Islam Gadhafi, the son and one-time heir to the throne of the late Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi, was killed on Tuesday at his home in Libya by four masked men.
The murder was confirmed by his lawyer and representatives of the UN political dialogue, while authorities have launched investigations, treating the incident as an assassination.
Saif al-Islam was a highly controversial political figure, wanted by the International Criminal Court and a former presidential candidate in 2021.
US Navy shoots down Iranian drone in Arabian Sea

The US military has announced that it has targeted and shot down an Iranian-owned drone in the waters of the Arabian Sea after it was heading towards the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln.
