YouTuber Landon Nickerson has publicly admitted to cheating on his fiancée, influencer The Wizard Liz — while she is four months pregnant with his child, who they revealed just a week ago was a boy. Landon called his betrayal "just a few minutes of texting," which, he said, "were taken very seriously."
The story began when Liz posted some direct accusations on Instagram: Landon had created a fake Snapchat account to contact another girl and had even gone so far as to physically meet her. The evidence? Enough for the other girl to share the messages and communication details with Liz and her friend.
Liz said she felt like she no longer knew the person she was engaged to and was so disappointed in herself that she considered selling her engagement ring. And in the midst of all this, she is going through a pregnancy.
Meanwhile, Landon decided to react with a video on Instagram – which was later deleted, but which has of course been saved and shared on every corner of social media. In the video, he didn't deny the betrayal, but downplayed it:
"It was 5-10 minutes of my life, texting someone I don't care about at all. I won't deny that I screwed up. But people make mistakes."

Yes, people make mistakes. But when your partner is pregnant with your child and you're creating fake accounts to secretly flirt with other girls, the expected reaction isn't some kind of "nothing big happened here, end the drama" kind of excuse. Moreover, fans remember that this is the same Landon who just a few months ago published a book about his love for Liz, appearing like the ideal man in the eyes of the network. Ironic? A little.
What his followers didn't miss was his tone during the reaction. Instead of sincere remorse, Landon seemed more concerned about his online reputation than the pain he had caused his partner. "I'm throwing everything I have away for someone I don't care about at all" – it's a statement that sounds more like an excuse for himself than an apology for anyone else.
Of course, there was no shortage of comments pointing out the gender duplicity. Many followers said that if it were Liz who had cheated during a pregnancy, she would be publicly crucified in a much harsher way. Meanwhile, Landon, although exposed, still has followers who defend him with phrases like "it's just a mistake," or "it's not the end of the world." And yes, for someone going through a heartbroken pregnancy, it probably is.
