The Ellen DeGeneres Show is currently in a pause period due to the condition caused by coronavirus, however Ellen has tried to adapt it to a format with videos, interviews and shootings from home. Recently, Ellen submitted several footage from the home referring to self-isolation and fear of pandemic, but issued an inappropriate comment.
"It's like being in jail here," she said. "That's because I've been wearing the same clothes for 10 days in a row and everyone here is gay."
I am thinking of you and sending love to you all. There's no better way for me to do that than from my show. pic.twitter.com/HsKvTorsLm

The comment was not well received because people noted the dangerous conditions in the prisons. "Thousands of people are dying in prisons without the best soaps [to raise their hands] and without basic protection," Carolina Drya Framke wrote on Twitter.
"You have no idea how many people are locked up in cells, sick, afraid that they will be the next victims, because they could not find 10oo dollars to get out of prison, they lost the date for the meeting in Court, because they are addicted, because we locked them up in prisons, ?reads a post by Lauren Hough.
Christopher Mathias said: "One of the world's largest coronavirus outbreaks is taking place in New York's largest prison. Prison doctors have described the situation as a public health disaster. "
Ellen's representatives or she herself did not comment on the statement.
