Invited to "The Dalina Show", on Andale Media , Elhaida Dani, who is the artistic director of the Song Festival for the second year in a row, revealed that there has been a record number of songs brought by artists throughout the history of the Festival.
To begin with, Dalina Buzi pointed out that among the selected songs, there were many new names and asked the question that we all may have in our heads: Were they inspired by Shkodra Elektronik's victory?
"Absolutely. I believe something happened that I was told not to say. If last year a big name that was expected to win didn't win, but two young people did, it just so happened that many young people gained confidence and came to the Festival with very good material. When I hear them, I really think there will be some kind of revolution this year, because it's impossible," Elhaida replied.
On the other hand, Elhaida stated that there is a smaller number of Big artists, again for the same reasons as above. The singer also revealed that she has received calls from artists who have praised her "for the fairness of last year's Festival" and the result was this:
"120 songs participated, which has never happened in any Festival audition. Yes, it's a record. Therefore, for the committee that had to choose 28 songs in those two days, it was quite difficult, but I believe they succeeded. I hope we didn't leave any good songs out, but we can try again next year."
