After the situation that caused a stir online, Dolly Parton reacted herself through a video published on Instagram, assuring fans:
"I'm not dying. Do I look sick to you? I'm working hard."
This statement comes a day after her sister, Freida Parton, posted a status on Facebook asking for prayers for her, which caused alarm and speculation about the 79-year-old's health condition.

Later, Freida apologized for the misunderstanding, explaining that she had not meant to scare anyone.
Dolly publicly thanked him for his support and prayers, explaining that after her husband's death earlier this year, she had not taken proper care of herself.
"I neglected a lot of things. When I went to the doctor, they told me to be careful. It wasn't a big deal, but yes, I had to cancel some commitments."
In the video, she appeared humorous, even commenting on a photo created with artificial intelligence that showed her together with singer Reba McEntire on her deathbed.
"We laughed so hard! We both looked like we needed to be buried," she said.
"There are a lot of rumors going around. So I thought: I better tell you myself, I'm fine. I'm not ready to die yet. I don't think God is done with me, and I'm not done with this world!"
After numerous reactions, Freida Parton made a second post where she explained:
"I didn't mean to scare anyone or make it sound so serious. I just asked for prayers, because I really believe in their power. I'm just a little sister praying for her big sister."
Dolly Parton was expected to perform six concerts in December at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, but due to health concerns, some of them may be postponed.
