US President Donald Trumpo announced new travel restrictions in an attempt to fight further spread of coronavirus.
In a statement to the cameras, he said that 26 European countries would not be able to travel to America for the next 30 days. Trump added that the "tough but necessary" restrictions do not apply to the United Kingdom, where 460 affected people have been diagnosed.
Across the United States of America there are 1135 confirmed cases, of which 38 people have died.
Anyone who has been in the Schengen area 14 days prior to entering the United States will not be allowed. This excludes Ireland, Bulgaria, Croatia and Romania, which are part of the EU but not of the Schengen area.
