Lady Gaga's fiancé, Michael Polanski, has opened up about their relationship and the challenges of being with such a famous woman. In an interview with Elle, the 41-year-old entrepreneur said that the hardest part he's had to manage is the constant attention.
"The hardest part was accepting that I wouldn't have the privacy that other people could have," he said. At the same time, he added: "But Stefani's (Lady Gaga) patience in this situation was amazing."
Michael Polanski described their relationship as "similar to most couples." He noted that they find "normalcy" through close friendships, family relationships, and visits from loved ones at their Malibu home.
For her part, Lady Gaga revealed:
"We make pasta together, cook different things. We also like to cook simple dishes together with Michael's mother, who lives next door to us."
The singer added that the friendship with her fiancé's mother was built through shared experiences and conversations.
"We talk about how we grew up, about the challenges of women in the workplace, what her experience was like and what mine is like, comparing different generations," she said.
Lady Gaga, in the same interview, shared her desire to have a family with her boyfriend in the future.
"Family is like the roots of a tree. Sometimes they get tangled, sometimes they get watered, and sometimes they get thirsty," she said. "Family is what shapes you, but it also determines your need for change."
The couple met at a charity event in 2019 and got engaged in 2024. It is worth noting that the singer was previously engaged to Chicago Fire star Taylor Kinney from 2015 to 2016 and to talent manager Christian Carino from 2017 to 2019.
