A member of the royal family of England is unable to experiment with strong changes in make-up, hair, clothing, because of the rules and protocol that dictates everything.

So it's understandable that a princess's hair color rarely strays from the natural shades of brown or blonde, without being able to explore in many choices, such as the trendy "cherry cola" shade or a bright platinum blonde that is a contrast strong.

That being said, Middleton has masterfully transitioned from the warm summer months to the cold winter with a dark hair transformation.

For a long time now, Kate's highlights have been a medium-toned shade of brunette with highlights throughout. However, the Princess of Wales has done a total refresh of the look, changing her hair to an almost dark chocolate brown shade.

The new color makes her hair look healthier, shinier and fuller.
