8 reasons why tourists are disappointed by Paris

Paris more than one place. In the imagination of most of us it is a sensation. Descriptions of great authors in their works, rich in art and history museums and of course the Eiffel Tower make you save up to the last penny to visit it as soon as possible.

As is usually the case, the reality is different. Many of the tourists return disappointed after visiting it. Aside from the fact that their expectation is not exactly what it is at present, other reasons influence the bitter taste that it brings with it.

There is even a term that specifies this kind of frustration called "Paris syndrome".

8 reasons why tourists are disappointed by Paris

1. The Eiffel Tower!

Before we get there, everyone dreams of seeing the city's most important attraction. You face the first disappointment when you see the large crowd waiting in line to visit the tower. Disappointment number 2 comes when security guards check that you are at the airport again. Get ready to spend a good few hours waiting.

Tip: Better just enjoy the view with the tower in the background.

2. Large crowds at the entrance to the Louvre.

Of course another very famous place is the Louvre. Many of the tourists who have not booked tickets before, spend hours (or a full day) waiting in line.

3. French women are different from what we see in movies

In French films, girls are known for their simple but charming and mysterious style. They always have the perfect outfit (paired with a beret), are independent and look great. French women are a style inspiration, but when you look at them in the streets of Paris you might be a little confused.

The girls there are not as obsessed with the look as we thought. Wear simple clothes, no curly nails and no make up. This changes after the 50's, when they decide to deal with themselves to the smallest detail.

4. There are very few English speaking countries.

The French speak English very well, but for unknown reasons ~ choose not to speak it. Throughout the restaurants the menus are only in French, so you will have to imagine the food.

5. Foods in the restaurant come in very small quantities and bills ....

Don't expect to feel satiated when you go to a French restaurant. Portions are small and very expensive. That's because for the French, at the end of the day the taste is worth it!

6. Dreams of empty photo squares and streets will break you!

We know you've got a gallery ready for shooting, but don't expect it to come out as you intended. The main squares are overcrowded with tourists so the backdrop will never be just for you. Make it like bloggers, wake up as soon as it's dawn to make a good set!

7. The city is full of trash

Many tourists complain that Paris is dirty. Even the main roads are littered with trash and no one takes the trouble to remove them. However, if you are only 3 days old, don't stress too much, or go for an early morning stroll.

8. You feel insecure

Paris also has its dark side. The city is filled with immigrants from various countries. Many bother tourists, trying to sell what they need and if they refuse, they get nervous. In fact, this is not the worst part. There are some routes, such as the North (Gare du Nord) and the East station (Gare de L'Est) that you should never cross.

Many of those who have visited Paris, among other things, unanimously point out that it is not the most hospitable city in the world. People are not very fond of tourists, but even if it matches your expectation, Paris will still be one of those must-see places!

Remember, you are in the most beautiful city in the country so forget about the trivia.
