Sometimes things go awry and one Canadian lawmaker did not judge correctly when he decided to enter a meeting of parliamentarians in Zoom ... while he was in the toilet.
Liberal party member Shafqat Ali attended a parliamentary session and opened the camera (though it was not mandatory). Conservative members began to question his whereabouts.
Conservative MP Laila Goodridge said a lawmaker may be attending from a bathroom somewhere inside parliament - a claim that confused attendees until it was confirmed, the Guardian reports.
The incident was discovered by analyzing the stone works in the toilet, door hinges and clothes hangers.
Ali apologized, considering the toilet incident an "unfortunate event" that came from a miscarriage of justice. "I take this issue extremely seriously and I promise I will never repeat this mistake again," he said.
Morality 1: If you do not have to open the camera, turn it off.
Morality 2: If you must open the camera, make sure it does not show where you are.
At least he did not appear naked as another member of his party a year ago!
