Donald Trump has released a bizarre video created by artificial intelligence on his Truth Social platform. The video shows Trump's vision for Gaza under his proposed plan.
The footage, which Trump released without comment, shows the war-torn territory, before a caption appears: "Gaza 2025... What comes next?"
The video then shows the area transformed with exotic beaches, Dubai-style skyscrapers, luxury yachts and partying people. It also includes a "Trump Gaza" tower and a giant golden statue of the US president, as well as several miniature versions sold in a souvenir shop.
A child is seen walking down the street holding a balloon with Trump's head in it. The president is also seen dancing with a dancer on a bar, lounging on the beach and drinking cocktails by a pool with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Elon Musk is seen several times - eating hummus on a beach while bearded dancers perform on the sand. Musk is also seen throwing money in the air at people.
A song plays in the background: “Donald is coming to set you free, bringing the light for you to see, no more fear: Trump Gaza is finally here. Trump Gaza is shining, a golden future, a new life. Enjoy and dance, the deal is done, Trump Gaza number one.”
Sky News has revealed that the video was first shared online in early February by accounts that do not appear to have any connection to the White House.
People online have reacted to the video. "I hate it. I love our president, but this video is terrible," one wrote. "I don't think it's funny. I'm sorry! What am I not getting? I hope it's a joke, a bad joke," said another.
Earlier this year, Trump declared that he wants to relocate two million Palestinians living in Gaza to neighboring Arab countries and turn the country into a “Middle Eastern riviera.” He said that the US should take control of the Gaza Strip and that America “will be responsible for dismantling all dangerous bombs and other unexploded weapons.”
The White House described the proposal as "visionary," but it was criticized as "ethnic cleansing" of the Palestinians. Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia, which as Arab states support the Palestinian cause, have opposed Trump's plan.
