Lauren Sanchez may be the cover star of Vogue, wearing her wedding dress, but that doesn't mean her personal style has the approval of Anna Wintour. Jeff Bezos' new wife was photographed for the magazine's latest issue, and in 2023 she also did a photoshoot, where she showed off her life with the Amazon founder.
However, amidst these stunning photos, there has been no shortage of Anna Wintour's harsh criticism of the former journalist's style. It is said that last year, during Lauren's preparations for the Met Gala, Anna set a condition that she had total control over her appearance if she wanted to attend the event.
According to sources, media reports that the famous former editor-in-chief of Vogue, known for her strictness, considers Lauren Sanchez to be someone with "bad taste" in fashion.
Lauren is known for her bold style, which often leaves little room for imagination and highlights her toned body.
“Anna isn’t always personally involved in guest choices,” the source said, but in this case she and Lauren worked together.
Although Anna Wintour was invited to Lauren's wedding to Jeff Bezos, she was unable to attend due to commitments, according to Page Six. However, it appears she helped choose the wedding dress.
The news coincides with Anna Wintour's surprise announcement that she is stepping down as editor-in-chief of American Vogue after 37 years. Anna, 75, took over in 1988, succeeding Grace Mirabella and radically changing the magazine's style and philosophy.
