You're not the only one leaving the house without keys and a wallet, but like everything else, that's what Apple thought! The company recently confirmed that it is working on an application that will give users the right to digitally enter their driving license and ID card.
What is a digital patent?
If until now when you forgot your wallet at home, you did not have with you either an ID card, or a license or money, you had to go back because you can do practically nothing. Now, Apple intends to change this by making it possible for you to place the patent in "Wallet" on your "Apple" phone or watch. On September 1, the company said it was experimenting in different states to make this possible as soon as possible. Once the respective countries accept this new type of identification, people will be able to leave their wallet and everything else at home except the phone!
The app is not yet ready for use, but is expected to be this fall along with the new software update. The first two US states to have it are Arizona and Georgia, followed later by the others.
Soon, patents and ID cards will work in much the same way as credit cards at Wallet.
