It does not seem at all strange that the movie "Barbie" continues to cause discussions, every time it is mentioned! Despite the staggering profits it brought to the Hollywood box office and all the "noise" of discussions that came from every corner of the world about the protagonist actors and the realization, the celebrities have not remained in the shadows whenever this cinematic production is talked about.
This time it's the Colombian singer's turn to have her own opinion on "Barbie"! Shakira in an interview for "Allure" said that her sons do not like this movie.
"My boys hate this movie. They think it's a little embarrassing, and I agree, to a degree. I'm raising two boys, and I want them to feel empowered while respecting women. I love pop culture when it tries to empower women without robbing men of their chance to be men,' she said.
The winner of three Grammy awards emphasized that "Barbie" does not portray in the right way the approach that men should have in relation to women.
"I believe in giving women all the tools and confidence, but without losing our essence and femininity. Men have one purpose in society and women have another purpose. We complement each other, but we must not lose ourselves," continued the singer.
Recall that the film was released in every cinema in the world in July last year, being described as an extraordinary production after collecting over a billion dollars at the box office worldwide. The film was nominated for eight Oscars, including those for actors Ryan Gosling and America Ferrara.
