According to TMZ, the 68-year-old actor was soliciting prostitution last month during the holiday season on Dec. 10 at a hotel in Camarillo, California. According to police documents, the actor was charged with the crime of “solicitation of prostitution.”
Authorities explain that Stern was not escorted to the police station and was not photographed, but was only given a summons, avoiding formal arrest. So far, there are no other details on the specific circumstances of the incident or on the possible continuation of the case through legal channels.
This is not the only incident that has brought the actor to the attention of authorities in recent months. The news comes a month after the actor, who was hospitalized in October 2025 due to an undisclosed medical emergency, revealed in an interview that he had left Hollywood behind.
