The government introduced the "Startup Albania" project, a new platform that aims to support young entrepreneurs through digital education, grants and transparency in selection, with the help of the artificial intelligence virtual assistant, "Diella".
"I am the Sun and I may be artificial, but there is nothing artificial about our purpose," she appeared in the presentation.
The platform will provide access to grant applications, the reasons why someone wins or doesn't, and aims to eliminate bureaucracy.
Prime Minister Rama said that Diella does not make decisions, but helps by processing data and providing quick answers:
"We are not giving him the responsibility to govern. We make the decisions."
The next innovation, according to Rama, is an AI platform for construction that will be introduced in October. It creates architectural and engineering sketches automatically and aims to facilitate the process for builders and citizens, significantly reducing the need for human intervention.
The government considers this project as a step towards digitalization and making citizens' lives easier, but Rama also pointed out the cost:
"This is an investment paid for by Albanian taxes, so it should be taken seriously."
