The annual list is based on the analysis of 17.5 million academic papers and the opinions of experts from over 240,000 academic faculties and employers from around the world.
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, USA, secured first place with an overall score of 100 points for the 12th consecutive year.
The University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom ranks second with 99.2 points, while local rival University of Oxford is in third place with 98.9 points.
