After the unexpected news that she had become a mother for the second time, Paris Hilton revealed that she and her husband, Carter Reum decided to have a surrogate mother (a woman who agrees to carry and give birth to a child on behalf of another person or couple ) for both their children.
In the premiere of the second season of the reality show "Peacock", Paris said that although she would have liked to give birth to her children, son Phoenix Barron and daughter London, she chose not to do so the moment she realized that her life hers was very exposed and public.
“The option of a surrogate mother was a difficult decision to make,” she said. "I would have loved the experience of growing the baby in the womb and feeling the kicks and all those exciting moments, but my life has been and continues to be very public. So even though the baby is biologically mine and Carter's, we decided to have a surrogate carry it."
