Rapper Offset was detained and released after an incident in Beverly Hills.
Offset, whose real name is Kiari Cephus, was arrested by officers at the Beverly Hills Police Department during a patrol stop Saturday afternoon.
According to police, they had received a report, which showed a person pointing a gun at someone inside a vehicle. The caller gave the police a license plate, which stopped the vehicle shortly afterwards.
As the incident unfolded, Offset, Cardi B's husband, streamed live part of his interaction with police on Instagram Live. It is unclear what happened before and after the video that was posted.
In the video, an officer is heard telling Offset "do not move" and "open the door" as he tries to open the car door.
The rapper responds:
"No, this is not legal. You can't open the door for me. "
The officer says, "Yes, I can," and Offset replies, "No, you can't!"
Then the officer says:
"You have to get out of this car now."
A second officer is later seen in the video unlocking the door from inside the window before the two officers open the car door.
Offset gets out of the vehicle and asks officers why they are grabbing him by the wrist before the video ends.
