Twitter is probably one of the only platforms that has been fighting misinformation and abuse for years in the name of free speech. To further develop options as well as increase its potential, Twitter will make it possible for users to distribute audio messages instead of text.
The company recently said (via CNN) that it will allow "a limited group" of iOS users to create posts through their voice. In the coming weeks, other users will be able to post such content. At the moment, it is still unclear whether the feature will be available later to all users worldwide and in the languages of other nations, or will only recognize English or other more widespread languages.
The decision came after an app - known as Clubhouse - allowed users to share voice messages. Of course the app didn?t have any tremendous success, but it has all the potential to do so.
However important is also how Twitter will control the abuses that may take place. A Twitter spokesman said they are working to create an additional monitoring system.
Such an option could be a good boost for people who are so busy that they will know the value of the new platform innovation. Or it could be an incentive not to open Twitter, because who?s going to listen to themselves when they talk ?! It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. The platform may be cooler, but it may no longer appear on Twitter.
