No, this is not the title of some parody movie. We are talking about one of the newest procedures, Botox in the scrotum. Yes, it really exists and it is called “Scrotox”. And someone decided to perform it as a procedure in public.
Zack Wickham, one of the characters on the American reality show "The Valley," decided to give life another kind of aesthetic "lift" by injecting Botox into his lower body. He documented the entire procedure during an episode of the show. He enthusiastically explained that the reason was simply for "sexual pleasure and better aesthetics." (Plastic surgery for testicular aesthetics was not on our list of priorities for 2025.)
"I knew that during sex you feel better and look better," Wickham said. "You know how testicles are, they go up and down, and I said, why don't we just leave them... down?"
The procedure was done live, in a medical office.
So what really is "scrotox"? And is it safe?
According to Dr. Giselle Prado-Wright, a cosmetic surgeon in Florida, scrotox is a procedure that uses Botox to relax the muscles that cause the testicles to naturally rise. When these muscles are overactive, some patients feel uncomfortable or simply don't like the "tight" look.
The effect? ??Undescended testicles, smoother skin, fewer wrinkles and – according to patients – increased sensitivity during sexual intercourse.
The procedure also helps reduce excessive sweating in the area (a common problem for some men) and only takes 15-30 minutes, with no need for a long recovery.
So is it a safe procedure?
Botox itself is approved and used for dozens of medical treatments (not just forehead wrinkles). When applied by certified professionals, it is safe, even in the most sensitive areas. However, it should be done by specialized doctors, as the wrong injection can cause complications, ranging from discomfort to the reverse effect.
